My Story

Boxing was never something I set out to do; it became something I discovered, embraced, and quickly learned I could not walk away from.

I’m a Canadian-raised athlete with Trinidadian roots. I have had a lifelong love of sport and a competitive spirit that has always pushed me to see what I’m capable of. Before stepping into the boxing ring, I represented Trinidad and Tobago in soccer, an experience that taught me the value of discipline, teamwork, resilience, and what it means to compete at a high level. Those lessons have stayed with me throughout my boxing journey.

I began boxing competitively in 2025, and what started as a new challenge quickly became a passion. Within my first year, I captured titles at the Brampton Cup, Quebec Open, Women Reign, and the Ontario’s Golden Gloves Provincial Championships, becoming the provincial champion in the 60 kg category and earning my place at the Canadian Elite National Championships.

The Journey

In 2026, I continued to push myself into new challenges and increasingly competitive environments. I stepped outside of Canada to compete in the United States, gaining valuable international experience and bringing home championship belts along the way.

Each competition has brought a different opponent, style, and lesson. More importantly, each one has challenged me to become a smarter, more composed, and more complete fighter.

I’ve learned that success in boxing is about far more than what happens when the bell rings. The real work happens in the preparation; the early mornings, hard sessions, setbacks, adjustments, and the discipline to keep showing up when nobody is watching.

For me, boxing is about growth. It has taught me patience, composure, humility, resilience, and the importance of trusting the work I’ve put in. I’m constantly looking for ways to sharpen my technique, improve my fight IQ, and challenge myself against the best competition available.

I also believe strongly in the community that surrounds boxing. Some of my favourite moments have come outside the ring: training alongside people who push me, learning from my coaches and teammates, building friendships with competitors, and watching women continue to create more space and opportunity for themselves in the sport. I want to be part of that growth.

What’s Next

The journey is far from over.

I’ll return to the Ontario Provincial Championships in 2026 with the goal of once again competing among Ontario’s best. From there, my sights are set on the Canadian Elite National Championships and the opportunity to earn a place on Team Canada.

Every fight, every training session, every win, and every loss is another opportunity to learn, improve, and raise the standard for myself.

This is more than a sport for me. It is a pursuit of excellence and I’m just getting started.
